Weighing in at less than 8kg, Faraday-1 was packed up and taken to Portsmouth for vibration testing last week. This is an essential test to ensure that the spacecraft will survive the harsh rocket ride into space.
After a range of tests in specialist facilities, which involved shaking the spacecraft up and down, side to side and back and forth, our Director of Space Systems, Ed Stevens reports:
”The results have been analysed, the spacecraft has been tested and all systems are nominal! Now we are GO for Electromagnetic Compatibility Testing!
